The primary purpose of this position is MIG welding of machine frames including sheet metal parts. Mostly steel construction but some aluminum welding will be needed. This production also includes basic machining (drill, tap, and saw) of products, and painting of products which requires the use of a respirator.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform welding duties on tubular and angle machine frames

Weld, grind, and finish sheet metal parts

Use drawings, sketches, blueprints, and shop equipment to complete all phases of the product
Produce strong penetrated welds that are nonporous and consistent

Use fabrication skills to make products that meet drawing dimensions. Finished products should be square, level, and accurate to drawings; free of weld splatter, weld undercut, or heavy grinding marks.

Use drill press for holes and tapping threads

Organize workflow for maximum productivity of cutting, machining, welding, and packaging for shipment

Effectively communicate with supervisor regarding material inventory, shop supply inventory, and product scheduling

Cross training and willingness to help in other departments when directed

Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area

Qualifications:

Understand and apply standard welding techniques – required

MIG weld experience required; Oxy-acetylene torch experience is a plus

Must pass a pre-employment weld test

Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics – required

3-5 years of experience in a heavy fabrication environment – preferred

Experience operating shop equipment (saws, grinders, drill press, milling machine, overhead crane) – required

Basic machining skills & ability to use standard tools – required; experience preferred

Willingness to train and operate a forklift – required; experience preferred

Willingness to train and operate paint gun, including use of respirator – required; experience preferred

Physical requirements: stand/walk for extended periods; navigate stairs & ladders multiple times per day; bend; kneel; twist; work overhead

Must be able to lift, lower and carry up to 50 lbs.

The primary purpose of our Mechanical Engineers is to engineer custom equipment used in the metal casting industry. They must be a flexible, results-oriented problem-solver. Manages project from design through installation

Candidate qualifications:

SolidWorks PDM experience preferred

Foundry operations or bulk material handling experience preferred

Project Management experience preferred

Familiarity with ERP Systems, SAP preferred

We are currently searching for an industrial Field Service Technician. This position within our Service Department conducts on-site customer installations and repairs, which requires travel, mainly within the United States and Canada, sometimes on short notice. Candidates must have a strong mechanical background and be familiar with electrical wiring of components such as motors, pumps and switches. Candidates should be familiar with pneumatics and hydraulics and be capable of trouble-shooting all machine operations, both mechanical and electrical. Strong candidates will enjoy the hands-on assembly of machines when not performing field service. Our Mechanical Assemblers are part of a team responsible for the assembly of OEM machines using schematics and drawings.

Field Service: travel (25%-50%), sometimes on short notice, to service customer needs including startup or repair of equipment. Travel from 2 days to 1 week is common to customer plants in the U.S. and Canada. The travel percentage fluctuates monthly based on customer demands. Up to an additional 25% pay during travel.

Electrical Machine Controls: knowledge of machine controls and ability to wire and calibrate control devices using shop drawings and manufacturer’s instructions.; PLC programming and troubleshooting using Allen Bradley RSLogix platforms

Machine Assembler: assembly of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical machine components including piping and wiring based on schematics and drawings, using power tools or hand tools as required.

Assist the Service Team with installations and repairs, including travel to customer sites

Commissioning of new equipment at customer site

Use drawings, sketches, blueprints, hand tools, power tools, & shop equipment to complete all phases of the product

Work with production staff to complete jobs on time

Ability & willingness to wear a respirator and train to paint equipment if needed
